These programs may consist of advanced concepts associated with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, making them great options for students considering clinical positions in Psychology. Most enrollees spend around 4 years in their doctoral programs prior to graduation.

Your state entails around 2 years of supervised experience requirements during and after your doctoral degree program. The first portion of this experience may take place in the form of internship or residencies during your Ph.D. or Psy.D. program. Once graduated, you can begin the second half of your experience which should be completed alongside a licensed supervisor.

The Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) is the national certification test that is required for all psychologist prospects in the U.S. Part of the licensing expectations in your state outlines the need for passing scores from this examination.
- The final step towards becoming a psychologist in the state of Utah includes submission of your application and all required documents to your state board.
